Year 6 to 7 Transition

Information Sessions

"Teenagers today are trying to cope with unprecedented amounts of stress - and too many are falling by the wayside"

Parents and caregivers, (having lived through vastly different times) often feel inadequate to provide the appropriate mental and emotional support for teenagers who are transitioning from primary school to secondary school (6 to 7)

Going from 'The Biggest Kid In School' to 'The Smallest Kid In School' requires knowledge, support and coping skills that are unique to today's conditions.

The information sessions assist the transition process by informing parents and caregivers of the ways in which they can better assist their teenager - by learning different skills and ways of maintaining open communication during what can be extremely stressful times for all parties.
